Starting today, gradually, within one week, all users will be required to use two-factor authentication (MFA – multi-factor authentication). We are taking this measure because we are compelled to. Because the impersonation attempts have exploded across all European freight exchanges.
You will log in to 123cargo more complicated, not only for your own protection, but for the protection of all other users.
A perpetrator accessing 123cargo using your credentials has only one purpose: to find victims. They won’t use your account to communicate with these victims but will instead impersonate various real and existing companies (using very similar email addresses).
Starting today, the new authentication method will require:
- Username
- Password
- A unique login code sent to your email address listed in your company profile
*This does not apply to users who have "Secure Login" enabled, they will continue to log in as before.
Even if the perpetrator gets your credentials, he can no longer log into 123cargo because he does not have access to your email account to fill in your unique login code.
In this way, by removing the possibility for the perpetrator to use credentials stolen or unwillingly borrowed by the real user, we achieve the collective security mentioned above.
Once again, we strongly recommend verifying email addresses using the "Check the carrier" popup.
